One True Teacher

2 Timothy 4:2-5  Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

For thousands of years, women have played such a vital part in supporting the Kingdom of God. Joshua 2 outlines the activities of Rahab, a woman with a heart to serve God. Although she is noted in Joshua as being a prostitute, she knew God and understood his plan of salvation. Rahab could have chosen to be a bitter, self-serving woman who continued to live under the label that society had placed on her but she chose better.

Rahab followed her heart and we should too. Women, God has given us a heart for him or should I say I heartbeat for him. The presence of God is such a warm and comforting place for us to come and be nourished to handle life’s daily trials. God provides us with his comforting words, his matchless love and if we’re paying attention, he continuously whispers sweet “somethings” in our ear, reminding us of how beautiful we are and how much he loves us.

We in turn have to be that Kingdom Representative for him. He needs us to walk in that beauty and confidence. He needs us to keep him first in all that we say, do and think. Our actions, spoken and unspoken should always lead others directly to him. There are so many hurting hearts in this earth and we have the influence, the connection and the heart to make a difference.

Key Words in today’s scripture are: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage…at the drop of a dime you have to be ready to encourage others, correct them and rebuke them and with the same tongue, at a moments notice you may have to lead them to Christ. Study God’s Word and Be Ready!

Much Love,

Mrs. Misenheimer
