I celebrated my 1 year business anniversary by completing a few community outreach events. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Miss. Layla for her class project and I spent some time networking at the First Legacy Community Credit Union Community Gathering hosted by The Vine Events. I met some awesome people and gained some insight and inspiration on my next phase of business. I can honestly say that my day was well spent.
Today I am sharing a little snippet of my conversation with “Miss Layla.” She asked some in-depth questions that really made me reflect on why I went into business for myself.
Happy Sunday and I hope you enjoy!
Q. What motivated or inspired you to become a Peace Empowerment Coach?
A. My personal struggle to find peace in my own life. I came to realize that peace is a process and by following the process a person can achieve a certain amount of peace in their life even when things aren’t perfect.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The freedom to create products and services that help others and the process of building a company from the ground up on my own terms.
Q. Do you consider yourself to be a role model on the job? Why or Why not?
A. No, I consider myself to be a participant. Peace is a choice that we get to make each day. We can choose peace or choose to be disgruntled. I have to make that choice just like everyone else.
So there you go. Peace is a process and it’s always evolving.
This week I challenge you to not be so hard on yourself and honor the process.
Peace In Action,
Melissa
