Morning Prayer – April 2nd

Morning Prayer

Dear Lord,

This is the day that you have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you for the gifts of release and forward motion. Your love makes it possible to release negative thoughts and energy while honoring what is near and dear to my heart. On this day I am resting in the facts that you are my refuge and my protector. I am standing on your word to make all things new. Thank you for commanding your angels concerning me and while I catch my breath, I know they are at work on my behalf. Guide me as I move, instruct me as I work, protect me as I learn to trust again.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Morning Prayer – April 1st

Morning Prayer

Dear Lord,

This morning’s prayer hits a little different.

With all that you’ve brought me and my family through over the past few weeks, I can’t thank you enough. Your word says that you will supply all of our needs according to your riches in glory and that no good thing would be withheld from us. Thank you for remaining true to your word and just in your dealings. Thank you for the resurrecting power that you extend on a daily basis. Honestly we are a little bruised, but not broken. Help us to remain focused on the healing power of your word and in the right frame of mind to understand how you are repositioning us for greater purpose.

This is my prayer today in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Morning Prayer- Tuesday, March 19th

Morning Prayer

Dear Lord,

In Matthew 6:6-8, your instruction tells me to go to my room, close the door and pray. As I start a new day, I pray for balance and the ability to thoroughly complete the tasks that are before me. You’ve provided the resources and the connections; I am so appreciative. I pray for proper time management and follow through to deliver a great product and to get the job done. Thank you for opening doors for me, and for making a way when their seemed like one did not exist.  I am grateful and happy.  In Jesus Name. Amen

Despite it All

Determine in your mind to rise above the adversity that is weighing you down.

You are chosen, you are royal, you are unique, and you are fully capable of overcoming your challenges.

Let this week serve as a springboard to help you focus on forward progression and intentional movement.

So, what if others try you, so what if they do not believe in you, so what if their story is contradictory to the truth.

Despite it All, you can prevail if you focus your mind on winning.

Focus on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, and if there are any excellent or praiseworthy things, think about those things.

Tune out the noise, the confusion and the self-righteousness.

If you’re ready to begin living a life of intentional peace, Origins of Peace, LLC is here to support your personal coaching needs.

Growth Potential

All the women in me are tired. ~nayyirah waheed

According to an article in CNBC ChangeMakers, Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S.

Joy Ofodu is quoted in the article as saying, “To me, the rise of Black women entrepreneurs means we’re starting to believe in ourselves more, that we’re finally recognizing how limitless we are.”

I totally agree with Ofodu. Traumatic workplace experiences are leaving black women longing for a different work reality. In many cases, we love our job, and have become extended family with our team members, but the overall culture can leave many of us, me included, with a sour taste in our mouths.

When I left my last corporate position in late 2023, I was completely wiped out. I was striving but not making any traction. The requirements of my position were frequently changing and I felt disconnected from the work. I felt like I did not have room to think, show up authentically and use my strengths and values to deliver good results. I was an exhausted mess! Luckily for me, I had been building my company, Origins of Peace, LLC and my brand, Peace by Design for the past several years.

I’ve been through cohort after cohort that focuses on creating your mission statement, creating goals and objectives, and developing a business plan. I’ve completed the necessary requirements for a start-up company too many times, and I have no capacity to do it again!

Many of the current offerings of cohorts offer the same thing, and they want you to stay a novice and sign up for their program. From what I’ve experienced in some cases people get offended when you want more or when you decline to accept their offer for the basics.

Let’s move past the basics, WE ARE PROFESSIONALS!

The current business model of my company has been in operation since February 2019. Yes, I recently celebrated five years as a Conflict Resolution Coach with Origins of Peace. If you are tired of signing up for the basics, it’s time to live, love, learn & work with peace. Origins of Peace, LLC can help you do that.

I have a coaching program called Peaceful Profits where you and I take an in-depth look at your business model and figure out how to accelerate your growth potential and run a viable, profitable and sustainable business that you can be proud of.

My company motto is, “you cannot find peace in a place that you do not trust.” Allow me to help you work through your current conflict to find peace on the other side. I would love to set up a discovery call so we can talk through your current needs. My calendar link is below, you choose the date, and I will take it from there.

The Seen & Unseen

So many women that I know are suffering right now.  Praying for a child to recover from sickness, praying for a lover to be healed, praying for strength after burying a spouse and praying for the courage to move forward after a marriage that abruptly fell apart.

There is a lot of grief and overwhelm circling.

As I was praying for these women, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 was presented to me. These two verses say, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Although nothing about their current afflictions seems light or momentary, I pray each of these women can find hope in God’s word and in his never-ending promises. I pray their hearts and minds can comprehend his overall plan of eternal glory for each of us.

As we enter into this new week, I pray that each of these women will Embrace Stillness, to receive a unique, customized message from God that will reignite their faith and belief in his goodness.

I pray that the people who are closely connected to these women will hold space for them by showing them grace and praying earnestly for their wellbeing.

I pray that they are able to Maintain a Peaceful Space by shutting out the excess noise that will try and keep them from hearing what God has to say.

In it all, I pray for God’s will to be done concerning each of these situations.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for having a plan for our eternal glory. Because of this we can focus our attention on something greater than the troubles that try to overtake us.  I pray for your divine protection over all those who read this message. I pray their heart will be protected and their love will be elevated to acknowledge their blessings, past and present. In Jesus Name. Amen
