Covered

taken from 2 Timothy 1:1

…Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear Father, help us to remember your grace, mercy and peace as we begin our day. Help us to trust in You and to be confident in the works that you are performing in our lives and thru our lives. Lord help us also to be mindful to extend your graciousness to others, so that we can co-create peace in our immediate and global circle. On this day, we commit to positive outcomes in all situations, not only by looking for evidence of your presence but trusting that you will never leave us nor forsake us.  We love you and give you all thanks! In Jesus name. Amen!

Recognize

Psalm 119:27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts, then I will meditate on your wonders. (NIV)

My previous post was entitled Visibility and I shared a personal prayer of faith with you. My prayer consisted of a need for corporate prayer. A need to witness global prayer and movement in this earth.

God placed that thought in my head sometime ago. I pray about it often but last week, it lay heavy on my heart. As my work week came to an end, I received an email from co-workers unknown to me and that are stationed across several states. The subject line read: Any prayer requests?

The first thought that came to my mind was one of suspicion, who included me in this email at work and how did they get my email address? Then God reminded me of my prayer for Visibility. In that instance my suspicion turned to praise as I realized that God was actually answering my prayer right before my eyes!

Now I pose the question to you. How many prayers have you witnessed God answer on your behalf that you overlooked or didn’t exactly realize what was unfolding.

I find that in my time of meditation, God leads my thoughts, I then go into prayer and He brings revelation. It is a process that I am learning to better understand daily. Plant, Water, Produce! Plant, Water, Produce.

Our job in this process is to allow ourselves to become usable by God (fertile soil). He will then plant the needed seeds and send another to water them. At the right time, God will bring forth revelation in our lives!

We serve an awesome God!

My prayer: Father we thank you on this day that we remain usable for you and your work. Lord we pray that our thoughts, our actions and our deeds will help to build your kingdom. We pray that as we grow stronger in you, we will quickly recognize our prayers being answered. Thank you so much for all that you are in us, to us and among us! We love you, in Jesus name we pray. Amen

Much Love,

Acceptance

Isaiah 56:7 (NKJ)
Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Intimacy with God is as close as a prayer away. To realize true communion with our Lord and Savior, you need only acknowledge him.

My prayer for this day: Dear Father, we come before you on this glorious day with thanksgiving and praise. Lord we thank you for being holy, perfect and true in all your ways. We thank you for being an unmovable God who stands firm in His truths and principles. Father we thank you that our prayers are as sweet incense to you and we thank you that in our time of need we can come to you for release. Much more father, we thank you for your Son Jesus who makes it possible for all nations to experience your unfailing love. We praise you on this glorious day! In Jesus Name. Amen!

Make Him Great In This Place!

Had to be God

1 John 1: 3-4  (The Message Bible)

3-4We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy!

Today is a day of reflection, a day to look back over the past year of your life and take notice of how you’ve grown in your spiritual, personal and professional life. Take notice of the things that you used to do but have no desire to do now. Notice your point of view and your mind-set. Do you focus on the negative things in life or are you now willing to push through the negative and see a brighter picture.

Yesterday I realized a great harvest in my life, both spiritually and personally. A place that had recently been filled with strife and torment was suddenly filled with peace! As I walked around in this place of  peace and claimed  victory in it, all I could say was “it had to be God.”  Only God could have moved this grand disturbance completely out-of-the-way.

See, I am a firm believer in showing up to praise God on his appointed days. Don’t get me wrong, everyday is a gift from God but yesterday was a day of harvest. Harvest means to reap the benefit of your labor and I can really say that I reaped a grand benefit!

I witness to you, only to give you hope. Hope for peace, hope for deliverance and hope for a brighter future. Many situations can be changed but it comes through faith. One’s faith is developed only by studying God’s word and continuously praising Him. Praising God allows us to see a new picture of who we are and who we were created to be. Once you get a glimpse of that new picture, lock into it and keep it loaded in your mind!

Thought for today: “Make Him Great in this Place!”

Much Love,

Waiting Patiently

Waiting Patiently

Judges 6:14-17

In the 6th chapter of Judges, we find an angel of the Lord sitting with Gideon under an oak tree. This chapter is very intriguing as the two engage in conversation.

The Lord’s Angel: Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

Gideon: But Lord, “how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh and I am the least in my family.”

The Lord’s Angel: “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together.”

Gideon: “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me. Please do not go away until I come back and bring my offering and set it before you.”

The Lord’s Angel: “I will wait until you return”

Isn’t it funny how thousands of years later, we often find ourselves in the same predicament as Gideon? We doubt the plan and purpose that God has ordained for us. Just as the messenger of God spoke to Gideon and stayed with him until he felt confident enough to walk in it, we too have a messenger within us (The Holy Spirit) that constantly encourages us to walk in our God-given assignments.

The longer we delay our call to do God’s work, the longer we struggle through life, not realizing His complete blessings.

In Gideon’s case, he felt weak and powerless to walk in His purpose. What Gideon soon found out was that God’s spoken declaration over Him, would be manifested and he would become the “mighty warrior” that he was designed to be. A “mighty warrior is a far cry from “weak and least”. The two descriptions are absolute opposites and cannot exist in the same space.

God’s command to Gideon was to Go and Strike! Before you know it Gideon was leading his men, commanding them “do exactly as I do”, all because he began to walk in his purpose! He went from being least to being a leader and so can you!

Is God calling you to be the next teacher, business owner or inventor? Are you feeling an urge to start a nonprofit organization or go on a mission trip? Will you answer the call? Will you meet with God and allow Him to remind you of who he created you to be, not what society has labeled you.

He’s waiting patiently on you!

My prayer: Father, your people are stuck in an identity crisis. Now more than ever, we need change, we need to be reminded of who you created us to be. Lord so often we get comfortable and conform to what man wants from us, forgetting that you made us to be so much more. Lord, please give us those gentle reminders that we so necessarily need. Your words encourage and spring forth life within us. We cannot make it without you. Touch our mind and our heart and help us to glorify you by living out your word. We love you! In Jesus name. Amen!

Seedtime and Harvest

Genesis 8: 22  As long as the earth endures, seed-time and harvest, cold and heart, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.

Today’s scripture focuses on opposing forces at work in the earth. God has promised opposition as long as the earth endures. There will be seasons of busyness, when we are at work planting seeds. In those times we may feel weary and overwhelmed. We may wonder if God sees our efforts to make a difference in this world. We may even be confronted by negativity as we go about our planting.  If our thoughts are focused on pleasing God, the seeds that we plant will be those of righteousness and good works. In our planting, we should focus on ways to help one another and do good to those in need.

After seed-time, we experience a brief intermission before we realize the harvest. Some call it the” in between time”, I like to call it the “meantime.” The “meantime” is when satan tries to convince you that your work is in vain. He throws little suggestions your way to discourage you.  The “meantime” is encouraging in itself because we come to realize that satans only plan is to try and stop God’s purpose from coming to pass. If we are not being bothered during the “meantime”, then we are not fulfilling God’s will!

Guess what,  God says as long as the seasons change and day and night exist, I will bring forth a harvest for those seeds that were planted! If you’ve read the book and had a conversation with God, you know that we win! satan’s efforts are useless!

Ask yourself what seeds are you planting? Are you planting seeds of life or death? Do your words encourage others or do you discourage the heavy-laden? Whatever is being planted, will be harvested in your life. Make a choice to plant good seeds!

My prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for filling your people to the measure with your goodness. Lord you search our mind and our heart and you know those things that need to be pricked out. Thank you for making us whole and complete in you. We are so thankful that you sent your son Jesus not only to die on the cross in our place but to constantly intercede on our behalf. We are forever grateful and we love you so much! In Jesus Name.

Much Love,

Mrs. Misenheimer

Pleasing

Psalm 19:14..May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock an my Redeemer.

The words of our mouth are formed in our heart. In order for our words to remain pure, our heart must meditate on things pleasing to the Lord. The Lord finds pleasure in his laws and his statues because they are perfect, right and trustworthy. Apart from God, we are useless and unable to please Him.

What dwells in us will eventually be released out of us. Keep God’s word close to you at all times. Study his ways, meditate on them and listen as you begin to speak as God speaks. You will move mountains and create a new way of doing things. You will begin to walk in your God-given purpose and go deeper with Him.

Today’s scripture describes God as my Rock and My Redeemer; in other words, He is my sure, solid and established means of restoration, deliverance and liberation. By keeping these thoughts in mind and trusting in them, I please Him!

Life by Design

Job 28:23-28..God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. When he established the force of the wind and measured out the waters, when he made a decree for the rain and a path for the thunderstorm, then he looked at wisdom and appraised it, he confirmed and tested it. And said to man, “The fear of the Lord–that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

Today’s scripture gives us a detailed observation at just how deliberate God is. He established the force of the wind, he measured out the waters of the sea and he made a path for the thunderstorm.  All of these things are God’s doing, he purposely designed these things to happen.

Much like the thunderstorm, God has custom designed our life experiences. Nothing happens to us by chance, by accident or by luck. God has purposely created those forces of wind that catapult us to our next experience, he has decreed showers of rain to cleanse us from past situations and he has planned a system of thunderstorms to break us free from unhealthy associations. When all is said and done, our character is developed and our fear of the Lord shows just how wise we have become from our trails.  God knows what it takes for each of us individually to nurture that wisdom. He knows what will stick with you and what will slide off. He knows when you’re ready for the next chapter of your story or when you need a more advanced lesson.

Trust Him and remember that he views the ends of the earth and sees everything, including you, under Heaven! Allow Him to make you usable for His good works!

My prayer…My dearest heavenly father, thank you for planning the details of my life story.  I praise you during the wind, the rain and the thunderstorm.  I thank you that in those stormy seasons, seeds of wisdom are planted and when you see fit, your beautiful light will spring forth the glory of the harvest! Father I call it done in the name of your son Jesus. With that said, there is no need for me to worry, fret or lose any sleep over the matter. My only assignment is to trust you. I love you and thank you! Amen.

The Conversation

Esther 5:14b: And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

And there she sat in the parking lot of Target, reasoning with God. “Lord, why doesn’t this man see me for who I really am?” Why does this relationship have to be hidden? Is he ashamed of me, am I not good enough for him. I’m smart and very beautiful. I am doing him a favor by even being bothered!

And God simply said “Why don’t you see yourself for who you really are?”  “You are fearfully and wonderfully made, I knit you together in my secret place, not to hide you but to create your innermost being. I watched carefully over each detail of your life as I formed your body. I made you to shine and not to settle! If you trust me with this very small detail of your life, oh how much more, will I bless you! I will fulfill my purpose in you, I will walk with you through trouble, my love for you will endure forever! I will hem you in from the front and the rear. My hand will forever be laid upon you!”

And so I trusted God and walked into my royal position. Ask yourself, what do you need to get rid of. What heavy baggage have you been lugging around that doesn’t belong to you? Will you trust God to deliver you from the ordinary and bless you with the extraordinary?

Amazing Things

Joshua 3:5   Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

Today’s scripture promises that the Lord will do amazing things among us if we consecrate ourselves.  The definition of consecrate is  to dedicate and devote oneself to something. God wants us to be devoted and dedicated to Him in all that we do. Our dedication to God is a breeding place for miracles and in that breeding place, amazing things will happen.

Trust not in your own ability but in the beauty of the Lord. Dedicate all your ways to Him and watch as amazing things unfold in your life.

My prayer for you: Dear Lord, we thank you for showing yourself mighty in our life. We thank you for your many provisions as we go about our daily routine. Help us to remain dedicated and devoted to you and give us an eye to see your amazing power at work in us. We love you and thank you!

Much Love,

Mrs. Misenheimer
