We are already through the first week of the new year and hopefully you’ve had a chance to reflect on and consider the work that is involved in achieving your resolutions.
Goal Setting is simple, Vision Boards are inspiring, and the true work is done when you map out your goals for the year and make a plan to implement.
Is this your year to start that business that you’ve wanted for so long? Are you tired of feeling frustrated in your career but unsure of what’s next?
Are you the friend that’s called on to support your family and friends while they walk out their purpose?
If you’re ready to start your next chapter, Peace by Design Academy has a place for you.
We focus on all things peace by analyzing your wellness dimensions and then each month we strategically create an action plan to help you realize your purpose and walk in it, in the most true and authentic way.
The next academy begins on Monday, January 16th. Make a decision to join the academy and create a new vision to find your purpose, develop your plan and get the support you need to take action.
Does your New Year come with more in-person office hours on a more regular basis?
If so, remember to add kindness into your daily rotation. There are so many professional ways to express appreciation to your fellow co-workers.
Review the list below provided by @HackingHR and implement as you see fit.
Remember, people have been at home for years now, working remotely or on a hybrid rotation. All small, random acts of kindness are welcomed and appreciated.
Of course, you are a fierce superpower, making the most strategic personal and professional moves for yourself and your family. Of course, you have it all together, there’s nothing missing, and nothing broken and yes yes to #goodvibesonly!……but as the new year rapidly approaches, what if you adopt a new method of operation…. what if….
you reconnected with the softer side of life while still remaining impactful.
As for me, I’ve spent most of my adult life as a mom, a caretaker, a business owner and devoted family member, which means I’ve had to be a leader, teacher, mentor, and supporter among many other things.
It’s easy to activate a super focused mindset and get into the mode of doing, doing, doing.
If this sounds like you, I challenge you to get back to being, being, being.
Being loved, being heard, being valued, and being seen for who you are, and not for what you can do.
In all honesty, I too look forward to reconnecting with gentleness toward self. I’ve heard after a few adjustments; the experience is quite invigorating.
Next week I am kicking off the 7 Day Purify Challenge. It’s the perfect time to release the old and create a welcoming space for gentleness and compassion.
I only have space for 5 participants to take the challenge with me. If you would like to join me, click the link below to learn more.
Every verbal or non-verbal expression is a form of communication. Your work style is a means to showcase how you communicate.
A person with a stylist work style communicates through placement and appearance of content. How things look plays an essential role in delivering the message.
Although this work style is great because of the short attention span that most people have, it also has a few cons because of the often-overlooked details within the wording and supplemental content.

This week let’s stay focused and be consistent.

We are exactly three months into the new year and it’s time for a quick check-in to see how you’re doing on your goals and if it’s time for some re-adjustments.
I pray that things are going well for you and that Peace is still your top priority.
At the top of the year I set some pretty lofty goals for myself. I am on a mission to achieve Peace in several areas of my life. My strategy plan includes goals for my health, my career, my spirituality and my relationships.
I am happy to report that I am making strides in all areas. So far I’m down 12 lbs. I’m gaining clients in my business, my prayer life is terrific and best of all, I’m getting gold stars for being the “coolest ex ever!” I’m happy to report that I’ve let go of some grudges and sprinkled some forgiveness on a few situations!
So how’s it going for you. Are you making strides and working toward your goals or are you at a stand still.
If you’re stuck, let me help you get back on track. If you’re really ready to start crushing goals peacefully, contact me today.
So here’s a snapshot of my 2017 Vision Station. The upper board is used to illustrate the goals that I want to accomplish in the upcoming year. I prefer words overs pictures so that I am free to imagine myself completing the goal as I see fit. Pictures tend to stifle my creativity and don’t exactly give me the motivation that I need.
The lower board is my interactive space. This is where I post my objectives, resource list, action plan, focus word and theme song. I also have a folder to capture ideas and notes. In the past I created separate boards for my business and personal goals but my Career Confidence Coach, Kandis Webb helped me to realize that the two should be conjoined. As an entrepreneur, I am the face and brand of my business. It’s only right that I incorporate those terrific, quirky and unique qualities about myself into my business model.
Same goes for you.
So what’s the point of a ‘theme song?” It’s a proven fact that music stimulates the create thinking process. While you’re being magnificent and churning out new ideas, you need a song that resonates with you. I chose 2 for 2017. The song Unfamiliar by Common is awesome. I absolutely love this song. It reminds me to be open and receptive to the unfamiliar because great opportunities, relationships and partnerships often show up when you least expect it. My 2nd song is Location by Khalid. I love, love, love it! That one line when he says, “What’s the Move and I Got You,” reminds me to be spontaneous and open to new adventures.
I chose to tackle my fitness goals first. I was ready and there was no point in putting it off. I began training with @sakinareneefit on December 20th. In two weeks I’ve dropped a pant size and gained lots of energy!
Wanna know what goal I may struggle with a little?

To get to a state of cool may take me awhile but I’m working on it! ( don’t judge me)
Now the only thing left for you to do is decide that you’re ready to gain focus, clarity and most of all Peace in manifesting your 2017 goals.
Positioned for Peace: Your Action Plan For A Peaceful Lifestyle in 2017 is available throughout the month of January for your employees, community group, ministry, social club or group of friends. The workshop includes a PowerPoint, worksheets and team building exercises. You provide the location and I’ll provide the expertise.
I’m ready to share what I know. Are you ready to receive? Contact me today!
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and I am spotlighting the Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network (CVAN) for their work in helping battered women and their children find safety and peace during troubling times.
I first learned about CVAN as a Girl Scout Leader searching for a community service opportunity for my girls. I found a cute little boutique full of women’s clothing and toys that accepted donations from the community. Upon researching this store I discovered their mission. The store was just a means of support for the many programs that CVAN provides and the shelter that it operates.
CVAN has been in operation since 1982. They provide services such as: a 24-hour hotline, housing, peer counseling, children’s program, formerly battered woman’s advocacy, woman’s jail program, teen program, court advocacy, community education and support groups.
I’ve been connected with CVAN in various capacities for more than 10 years. CVAN is an integral part of Cabarrus County but that reach is nationwide. CVAN has successfully assisted women throughout the United States in finding safety from their abuser.
The following is a list of patterns and behaviors to look for in an abusive mate:

Signs to look for in your partner:

Hits, chokes or shoves you
