Different on Purpose

John 15:13 KJV: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.

How would you spend your time if you knew someone purposely died for you? Would you live any differently? Would you make different choices? What if someone loved you so much that they willingly gave up their life so that you could live a victorious one. How would you remember them? Would you resolve to live your life by honoring them or would you chose to live on your own terms and disregard their honorable act of sacrifice.

For the millions who have accepted Christ and made the choice to devote their lives to him, let’s make it our business to live different on purpose. I know it can be easy to get caught up in the everyday messiness of the world and heaven knows that we are far from perfect people but effort goes a long way. When God created the Heavens and the Earth, he put forth the effort. When Adam and Eve found themselves unclothed in the Garden and God gave them covering, he put forth the effort. When God raised Lazarus from the dead and restored life to him, he put forth the effort. The same effort was exhibited when God gave us his only begotten son. All throughout the Bible we find God always putting forth effort on our behalf.

How are you repaying him?

When God created you, he put forth the effort so that you could fulfill a void that exists in this world. Without your time, talent and influence, there is a need that will forever be unfulfilled. What can you do to live different on purpose to ensure that God’s word is fulfilled in your life.

My different on purpose looks like this: Personally, I like to sprinkle a little SuGa into the lives of believers and seekers. Prayerfully I give myself away to be used by God. Purposely I share the message of Christ with others with the hope that they will share with someone else.

Make the effort to live different on purpose today.

Peace and Wellness,

SuGa

Would you die for love?

John 12:24- “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”

In marriage, two are to become one. Two strong willed,  able bodied individuals are to put down their own self-serving agendas and come up with a plan of action that allows them to work together to produce, multiply and birth good fruit. (seeds) (deeds) …

How can goals be achieved if one or both partners are not willing to submit to the plan of action or better yet DIE for love? When we are willing to die for love, we are making a decision to see beyond who we are individually. We take a chance on what WE can become in unity! Instead of forcing one way or tradition, we incorporate the two and create a new way of doing things!

Marriage is God’s plan by design and the plan has everything to do with humility and love. By these simple acts of kindness we birth stronger families and build greater communities. Death to one selfish thought can breathe life into many new thoughts!

May the Lord God bless you and keep you. May he make his beautiful face to shine upon you. May you reach for his hand when you feel weak and unable to go on. May you always be reminded of the unselfish love of Christ. May your days be long and your troubles be few. May you dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever! Amen.

~Much Love~

Because He Lives!

Matthew 28:5-The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, he has risen, just as he said.

If Jesus had not risen from the grave, we would be doomed to a life of darkness, sin, inequity and death. If Jesus still lay in the tomb, there would be no hope for humanity and no pardon for sin. Jesus could have stayed in his tomb and not even bothered to give this sin-sick world another thought….But He Rose!

Because Jesus rose from the grave, we have power over death, darkness and sin. Because Jesus rose, as believers in him and his ministry, we have been positioned to rise above the enemy. Because Jesus rose, we have full confidence that grace and mercy chase after us!

The Word of God says…Jesus is able to keep us from falling and to present us before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy! In the tomb, there is no glory, no presence and no joy, only darkness.  In Jesus, there is love, forgiveness of sin and miracles forever more!

Jesus rose for me and for you, celebrate him on this Holy Easter Day!

“Because he lives, I can face tomorrow”

“Because he lives, all fear is gone”

“Because I know, he holds the future”

“And life is worth the living, just because he lives”

~Happy Easter, Happy Resurrection…May God continue to Bless you and Keep you~
