Tip #2 Believe that you Are Qualified

Peace Seekers! I’m so excited about Day 2 of our #loveme2Peace campaign. Remember, I’ll be posting tips and advice all month long on how you can incorporate self-love and self-care into your daily routine, in an effort to love yourself to a peaceful state of mind. I am a witness that mental clarity and spiritual wellness are the keys to a successful and peaceful life. Yesterday, I took time out of my super busy schedule to have my first ever hot stone massage. Man oh man, was it a treat! I had a chance to dump all of my thoughts, cares and concerns and I actually felt stress and tension leaving my body. If you’ve never had one, you should definitely think about trying it out.

Hopefully you remembered to begin your day with a prayer of gratitude and seal it with a scripture or a meaningful quote. I love to thank God in advance for new opportunities and that is how I begin most of my days. I’m always amazed at how God chooses to use me. He often blesses me with opportunities that I feel inadequate about or unsure of. In times like this I have to remember that if God says I’m qualified, then I am Qualified. That leads me to today’s tip which is:

                                                     “Believe that you are qualified.”

If God didn’t think you could handle it, he wouldn’t have chosen you. The Lord has access to every person on this earth but there are unique situations that only you are qualified to handle. Yes you in all of your poor spirit, broken-heartedness and grief. Yes you, after divorce, heartbreak and sickness. You have been called and chosen for such a time as this.

So what time is it?

It’s time for you to trust and believe that your quirks have purpose, your feistiness has purpose, your over-analyzing has purpose…everything that makes you who you are has purpose. Once you finally understand your purpose, you can begin to love who God created you to be and experience peace.

In Matthew 5, God blessed the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers and the persecuted. My friend, you fall into at least one of those categories so you are blessed!
